The majority of veterinary practices opt for either the Universal Centrifuge or the Standard Centrifuge, as the Microhematocrit Centrifuge is used for capillary purposes only.
- Universal Veterinary Centrifuges – This model provides a laboratory test in field of biochemistry, microbe immunity genetics, blood separation and also a general clinic test to hematocrit value (HCT), which defines the percentage of red blood cells against the whole body reflecting the status of red blood cells. This centrifuge may be used to detect the percentage of anemia or polycythemia. It can be operated in various speeds by turning a control knob.
- Standard Veterinary Centrifuges – This model is a tabletop centrifuge that is CE, ISO, GMP, and FDA approved. It has a 60-minute timer, LED power indicator, and handles either eight 10 mL testing tubes or four 15 mL testing tubes. It has a maximum speed of 4,500 rpm.
- Microhematocrit Centrifuges – This model holds 24 slides for capillary purposes with an automatic break to complete stop in 13 seconds. It operates and a maximum speed of 12,000 rpm. Features include safety power shutout lid, safety latch and lock, and timer.
