Use of our Health Canada-approved disinfectant will give you peace of mind that your veterinary clinic is effectively fighting the war on viruses, bacteria, and more.
There are a wide variety of cleaners on the market that while fine for everyday spills and messes, are a far cry from sanitizing and disinfecting measures that are so critical for veterinary practices. At Georgian Anesthesia and Medical Corp., we are proud to offer a Health Canada-approved disinfectant that you can feel confident about using at your veterinary clinic.
VitalOxide™ is a powerful disinfectant that can be used in one of three ways: as a surface disinfectant using one of their foggers, as an air disinfectant using their SAM 400 equipment, and as a threshold disinfectant with their Healthy Sole equipment. This is a Health Canada-approved disinfectant that is also EPA Registered (EPA No. 82972-1) and received EPA Category 4 standing for toxicity.
This Health Canada-approved disinfectant kills 99.999% of bacteria, including E. coli, salmonella and listeria in under a minute. It is also is clinically proven to kill Influenza A&B and kennel cough, as well as feline and canine coronavirus. As for the most recent virus, James parker, GM of Vital Solutions, has stated:
“Currently, we don’t know of any domestic product that can make direct claims against this new virus as testing is not available yet in the US or Canada. Vital Oxide™ does fit the emerging pathogen requirements for viruses showing efficacy against enveloped and non-enveloped virus both large and small. Due to the fact that COVID-19 is in the coronavirus genus and we currently have efficacy on Feline coronavirus, Strain WSU 79-1683, ATCC VR 989** and Canine coronavirus Strain 1-71, ATCC VR-809** we feel VitalOxide™ will be effective against this strain as well.”
We are happy to offer this Health Canada-approved disinfectant because it is non-corrosive and safe to use around the various veterinary equipment we offer. It does not require any special handling (no need for gloves even as it is not irritating to skin) and can be applied via spray/fogging and left to dry to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. It has a shelf life of up to 2 years, so you can feel confident stocking a few months rather than needing to restock frequently. Reach out to us today to learn more about VitalOxide™ and discuss which dispersal equipment would be best suited to your practice.
